We were incredibly proud to welcome Scotland’s First Minister John Swinney to our Upper Springland facility in Perth this week, where he saw first-hand the vital disability services we provide and discussed opportunities for continued government support.
During his visit, Mr. Swinney met several of our residents who benefit from the tailored services at our renowned centre dedicated to supporting disabled adults with complex needs.
The First Minister was given a comprehensive tour of our specialist care programmes and facilities.
Following the tour, Mr. Swinney sat down with our Chief Executive, Brian Logan, to discuss the role and importance of complex needs care facilities like Upper Springland.
John Swinney said: “I was delighted to visit Upper Springland and witness firsthand the outstanding work undertaken by Capability Scotland. It’s clear that the care and support provided by the staff is having a transformative impact on the lives of residents, and I commend the entire team for their incredible commitment to improving the quality of life for disabled individuals in Scotland.”
The First Minister expressed admiration for the work being done at Upper Springland and acknowledged the importance of continued government involvement in supporting such vital services.
