Capability Scotland is proud to have teamed up with Olympic athlete and swimmer, Dan Wallace to bring you this exciting New Year’s fundraising challenge: Swim the Distance!
By taking part in this challenge, you’re helping to raise funds for Our Inclusive Community Project’s vital hydrotherapy pool, which brings pain relief, exercise, and a vast array of benefits to the people we support and the wider community in Perth and Tayside.
And if the good feeling you get from supporting charity isn’t enough, we’ve got something for you in return. We’re excited to offer our Challengers free and exclusive access to Dan Wallace’s Swimmr: a training platform of courses, tips, guidance and more designed to help you improve your swimming – what better way to learn than from one of the world’s leading athletes?
Dan will personally design courses for each participant, enabling you to improve your swimming technique and Swim the Distance for Capability Scotland. He has also created training plans to help you achieve your chosen distance, with four brackets to choose from: 10K, 20K, 30K, and 40K.
Swim the Distance starts on 1st January, so there’s plenty of time to get your challenge in place, sign up to Swimmr and – most importantly – get fundraising to make a real difference in the lives of disabled people in Scotland.
What are you waiting for? Sign up here today and receive training from an Olympian!
