Project Vision and Mission
Our Inclusive Community Project is driven by Capability Scotland’s vision of an inclusive Scotland where everyone has the opportunity to have their voice heard, contribute to society and fulfil their potential.
We will strive to deliver the highest quality services, tailored to the individual needs of disabled people. We will work in partnership to create innovative solutions which enable our people to achieve their goals. We will put our customers and learners at the heart of everything we do and make sure their voices are heard loud and clear.
Capability Scotland’s experience of developing and managing supported living accommodation over several decades has led us to recognise that mixed communities strengthen social cohesion, and this positively impacts on everyone within that community.
This view is shared by the site developers, Springland Properties, and both of the site’s main affordable housing developers, Perth & Kinross Council and Kingdom Housing Association.
The opportunities to work collaboratively with these and other organisations, building on long-established relationships with partners such as The Gannochy Trust, will help deliver a more integrated and truly exemplar residential offering at Bertha Park. We believe this approach will also assist our customers to access social networks, amenities, services, and facilities that will help them to thrive.
Co-Production
Co-production fully recognises the unique relationship and understanding staff have with customers and that harnessing their expertise to shape the future development of care provision and the design of the project is critical.
