Beyond the practical difficulties of securing appropriate homes, the barriers faced by many disabled people can be societal or attitudinal, and are usually based on prejudice, misunderstanding, stereotypical representation and a lack of recognition of the requirements people with disabilities may have in order to fully participate in our society.

Delivering a facility as ambitious as the Our Inclusive Community Project takes deep collaboration, creative vision, and unwavering commitment. We are proud to work alongside a diverse network of funders, designers, technical experts, community organisations, and sector leaders, each contributing unique insight and expertise to shape a place that will transform lives.

The opportunities to work collaboratively with these and other organisations, building on long-established relationships with partners such as The Gannochy Trust, will help deliver a more integrated and truly exemplar residential offering at Bertha Park. We believe this approach will assist our customers to access social networks, amenities, services and facilities that will help them to thrive.
